Privacy & Consent Policy
This policy applies to all clients, employees, and visitors within the premises of Charles Gipson Photography Studios.
Policy Guidelines:
1. Purpose and Use of Security Cameras:
- Security cameras are installed for the purpose of ensuring the safety and security of clients, employees, and property.
- Cameras are used to monitor entrances, exits, and common areas for security and workflow purposes only.
2. Camera Placement:
- Cameras are strategically placed in areas where there is no reasonable expectation of privacy, such as entrances, exits, and studio spaces.
- Cameras are not placed in private areas such as restrooms or changing rooms.
3. Notification and Consent:
- Signage is prominently displayed to notify all entrants that video surveillance is in use.
- By entering the premises, clients and visitors consent to being recorded for security purposes.
4. Data Protection:
- Recorded footage is stored securely and access is limited to authorized personnel only.
- Footage is retained for a period of [90 days] unless required for an investigation, after which it is securely deleted.
5. Access to Footage:
- Access to recorded footage is strictly controlled and limited to [list authorized personnel, e.g., security staff or management].
- Footage will only be shared with law enforcement or other parties as required by law or if necessary for an investigation.
6. Client Privacy:
- Security footage will not be used for any commercial purposes or shared without consent except as necessary for security investigations.
- The privacy of clients is respected and upheld in all surveillance activities.
7. Employee Training:
- Employees authorized to access camera footage will receive training on privacy and data protection laws.
8. Policy Review:
- This policy is reviewed annually to ensure it complies with legal standards and meets the needs of the business.
